OPD Queue Management Software — Live Demo of Token + Walk-In Flow (2026)

The waiting-room queue is where most Indian clinics still bleed time. Paper tokens, "kitna time lagega?" calls every five minutes, patients walking in to ask their position. Digitising the queue saves 30–60 minutes per shift on a busy day.

What you'll see in this section

  • Today's queue list — tokens in waiting / in-progress / completed
  • Walk-in patient quick-add (registers patient + assigns token in one form)
  • Call Next button (auto-assigns the next token to the doctor)
  • Skip / Reorder a patient who isn't ready
  • Mark Complete when the consultation ends
  • Optional: real-time queue position updates sent to patients via WhatsApp

Why digital queue matters for Indian OPDs

Paper queue books look simple but cost time at every step. The receptionist has to physically scan the list to find the next patient. Patients call to ask their position. Late arrivals create awkward arguments at the front desk. None of this scales past 30 patients/day.

A digital queue solves this with one shared source of truth. Receptionist taps "Walk-in Patient", form pops up, patient is registered + given token #14, the doctor sees them appear in the in-progress list within seconds. Patients can opt-in to WhatsApp position updates so they stop calling for status.

Step-by-step walkthrough

  1. Today's queue list opens by default. Three columns: Waiting / In-progress / Completed.
  2. "Walk-in Patient" button opens a quick-add form. Phone number first (autocompletes existing patients). Token assigned automatically.
  3. Doctor's view shows their queue filtered to their patients only (in multi-doctor clinics).
  4. Call Next: moves the next waiting patient into in-progress, sends doctor a notification (and WhatsApp ping to patient if enabled).
  5. Skip a patient if they're not ready — token returns to the queue at the back, no fight at the desk.
  6. Mark Complete: when consultation ends, token moves to Completed. Patient gets directed to billing.

Built for every clinic size

  • Solo doctor: queue runs from your phone. Walk-ins in 30 seconds. No paper register.
  • Multi-doctor clinic: front desk manages walk-in queue; each doctor sees their own patients. Two parallel OPDs without confusion.
  • Multi-location chain: each branch runs its own queue. Branch manager sees per-branch metrics. Owner sees chain-wide footfall trends.
